Claude Monet lived for forty-three years in his house in Giverny from 1883 to 1926. Passionate about gardening as much as his colours, he conceived both his flower and water gardens as true works of art. Whilst wandering around the gardens and through the house, visitors can still sense the atmosphere that enveloped the home of the Master of Impressionism and admire the floral beds and the waterlilies, his greatest sources of inspiration.

Large crowds are expected during the weekends of May 1st, May 8th, Ascension (May 29th), and Pentecôte (June 9th). It is highly recommended to book online. A ticket office is also available on site. Considerable waiting time is to be expected to access the house and gardens.
