Claude Monet's House and Gardens Giverny - Online Ticketing
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale apply to all orders made on the online ticketing of the house and gardens of Claude Monet - Giverny at the following URL: www.claude-monet-giverny.tickeasy.com. The purchase of tickets implies the unreserved adherence of the customer to these conditions of sale.
These conditions apply to the exclusion of any other conditions of sale, in particular those in force for sales on the spot or by the partner sales networks.
The conditions are subject to change.
Article 1 – Rates and availability
1.1 The prices are those dedicated to the online sale Vivaticket - GAT. The ticket prices are indicated in euros net of taxes. La Maison et Jardins de Claude Monet - Giverny is not subject to VAT.
1.2 Only individual tickets are available for sale. The maximum number of tickets is limited to 15 tickets per order and whatever their price. Online ticketing does not apply to groups.
1.3 Visitors likely to benefit from a reduced rate must present the relevant documents.
1.4 Visitors who may benefit from free admission cannot book online. Their access will be validated on site upon presentation of proof.
1.5 Once the reservation has been confirmed by the customer, the Maison et Jardins de Claude Monet - Giverny cannot retroactively apply the reduced rates. By purchasing your ticket online, you waive any discount or gratuity you may have claimed. In case of purchase of a reduced fare ticket, proof will be required at the entrance. (see 1.3 and 1.4)
1.6 The applicable rates are those in force on the day of the order.
1.7 La Maison et Jardins de Claude Monet - Giverny sells a predefined number of tickets on its website. It reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of tickets on sale.
1.8 A time-stamped ticket is sold for a precise day and time slot chosen by the customer. Ticket purchases are made in real time. In this context, the website informs you about the availability of tickets at the time of placing your order.
Article 2 – Ordering Process
2.1 The ticket order process is detailed below:
Step 1: Go to www.claude-monet-giverny.tickeasy.com
Step 2: Select the desired ticket(s).
Step 3: Select the date and time slot of the visit.
Step 4: Add to cart and check your cart.
Step 5: Proceed to your identification and registration on the site. To place an order, each customer must be identified after having previously created an account secured by logins (login and password).
Step 6: Make your payment.
The order will be definitively recorded only at the last validation of the order screen. This last click is equal to the handwritten signature referred to in Article 1341 of the Civil Code.
Step 7: Receive the confirmation of order and tickets by email. If you do not receive the items, check your spam or junk mail.
2.2 Tickets purchased will be sent to the customer, by email, as an attachment in PDF format. Tickets will also be left at the customer’s disposal in their account. The customer account is accessible after login and password.
- Before arriving at the entrance of Claude Monet’s house and gardens - Giverny, the customer can print the e-tickets purchased on the online website.
- The customer can also present the e-tickets on their smartphone. They will be scanned at the checkpoints.
Article 3 – Payment and data security
3.1 Payment is made through our partner Payzen.
3.2 For any payment, the debit is made upon validation of the order. The debit of the bank card is independent of the printing of the tickets.
3.3 The proof of payment is sent to the email address you indicate during the order process.
3.4 No banking information concerning the customer passes through the website of the Maison et des jardins de Claude Monet or the Vivaticket software. Payment by credit card is therefore perfectly secure; the customer’s order will be recorded and validated as soon as the payment is accepted by the bank chosen by the customer.
The customer’s credit card details are encrypted using the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol and never pass through the network in clear. Payment is made directly to the bank.
3.5 The Maison et jardins de Claude Monet reserves the right to refuse to honour an order for tickets from a customer who has not fully paid an order or with whom a payment dispute is being administered.
3.6 The information and data concerning you are necessary for the management of your order and your relations with the Maison et jardins de Claude Monet. The data is stored in your personal account: this data makes it possible to carry out your transaction. In addition, this data, once saved, allows you to complete your future transactions faster.
They may allow us to contact you, as far as possible, in the event of cancellation or a change in the date of the service for which you purchased tickets.
In accordance with Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on information technology, files and liberties, the customer has a right of access, rectification and deletion of information concerning him, that the client can exercise by contacting the Maison et jardins de Claude Monet. This is an individual right that can only be exercised by the data subject in relation to their own information.
3.7 Cookies: Maison et jardins Claude Monet informs you that when visiting the site, information relating to the navigation of your terminal may be stored in "cookies" subject to cookie settings in your browser. These settings can be changed at any time in your browser. This information makes it possible to establish statistics, volumes of attendance and uses of the various elements composing the site. These data allow the improvement of ergonomics and services according to the interests of the user.
Article 4 - Cancellation and refund
4.1 A ticket cannot be refunded, taken back or exchanged, except in case of cancellation of the corresponding service by the Maison et Jardins de Claude Monet - Giverny. A ticket may also not be resold at a price higher than its face value.
4.2 Upon the announcement of the cancellation or modification of the date of the service for which you have purchased tickets and which is imputable the Maison et Jardins de Claude Monet - Giverny: you agree that our customer service, as far as possible, can use the contact details you entered when booking to keep you informed of the procedure to follow.
4.3 - The right of withdrawal does not apply to tickets and subscriptions, in accordance with Article L.221-28 of the Consumer Code, which provides that "the right of withdrawal may not be exercised for contracts (…) for the provision (…) of leisure activities that must be provided on a specific date or period".

Article 5 - Responsibilities
5.1 You must verify the ticket(s) and confirmation of purchase online at the time they are issued or received in your email. You are solely responsible for the use by yourself or a third party of the tickets sold.
5.2 La Maison et Jardins de Claude Monet - Giverny cannot be held responsible for any non-performance that has as its origin a case of force majeure, beyond its control, including in particular, the cases of interruption of transport, strike, exceptional weather conditions, fire, floods, etc.
5.3 The visitor undertakes to respect any instructions communicated by the Maison et les Jardins de Claude Monet - Giverny regarding the organization of services. La Maison et les Jardins de Claude Monet - Giverny reserves the right to refuse access to any person whose attitude, behavior or dress could be considered likely to hinder visitors. In this case, no refund can be requested by the customer who has been denied access for the reasons mentioned above.
As a reminder, pets are not allowed in the gardens.
Article 6 - Applicable law and disputes
6.1 These general conditions of sale are subject to French law.
6.2 In the event of difficulties regarding the interpretation or application of these conditions, the parties will try as far as possible to settle their dispute amicably.
6.3 All disputes that may result from the application of the present T&Cs are within the jurisdiction of the competent French court.
Article 7 - Validation
You declare that you have read these general conditions of sale before placing your order and have accepted them. The validation of your order therefore means acceptance of these general conditions of sale.
